Certainly no novice to this category, Roy was awarded the title "World's Grand Champion Whistler" at the International Whistle-Off in 1979 at Carson City, Nevada. Although he does not supply any back-up band himself, he can work with any live band or solo artist, and if these are unavailable, he can supply instrumental records and/or cassettes as a backup. His repertoire includes almost anything that carries a tune, but he does have a personal preference for "Roaring Twenties" music.
