The CCPS are huge fans of the work of Arielle McCuaig and anything on Pee Blood Records, so you're not going to be shocked to hear how excited we are that McCuaig has put out this solo cassette under the name of Anonymous Carpetting (sic). Kicking off with the Casio drum pattern from Trio's "Da Da Da" is probably a good indicator of where this tape is going to take you - or maybe it's a fake out? Either way, it's a cavalcade of lo-fi bedroom punk that is as catchy as is it is weird. And McCuaig's stream-of-consciousness lyrics on here have a weird obsession with hands, which is, well, weird. But we're okay with the outcome, which is excellent throughout this overly-short tape that leaves us wanting more.
