Women were one of Calgary's hottest exports of the 2000's, until their implosion just after the release of their second album. There are a lot of people out there who wish there was more... and maybe this is as close as it gets, the pre-Women band with the same foursome who would go on to leave an imprint on Calgary's indie scene that's still heard today. Veritas is a very different affair - it's mathy, it's proggy, and it's screamy. It's kind of like listening to a band throwing off their last spastic and heavy sounds in a manic, let's-play-everything-we-possibly-can sort of way.
