We're always thrilled to have more Cal Cavendish in the archive, and this one is a kind of special one - these are four tracks from an LP that the CBC put out featuring Cal and three other Canadian musicians, intended for broadcast on their stations around the country. From the back cover: Cal Cavendish has two LP's and nine singles to his credit; most of them on his own label, COP (Cavendish's Own Publications). This name has its origin from the way Cal made a living for some years as a rent-a-cop security officer. Two of his songs are about this part of his life. An integral part of the Calgary country-music scene, Cal sings about life; its ups and downs and he knows whereof he speaks, having been through trial by fire. Each song has a story to tell and Cal tells it like it is. After all, Cal is also short for Calgary!
