John Wort Hannam won the Folk Fest/Ship & Anchor's prize for Best Original Song in the 2004 edition of their annual songwriting completion - we couldn't pin down which song it was, but it's likely included on this CD that he put out that same year. Hannam's songs are steeped in storytelling and finely crafted - and he gets a boost from legendary Edmonton musician Barry Allen, who engineered the disc.
