When we originally posted this tape on the old CCPS blog, we (a) provided no useful information about the tape and (b) made a snarky reference to another band. We want to make up for that a bit (and also provide better artwork for the format of the new site). One surprising thing we missed with this back in the early days is that Tim Leacock had a hand in producing this... we had to ready this article from July 1993's issue of VOX to finally get that:
Red Autumn Fall Release Cassette
In an era of three-chord rock, flannel and monosyllabic band names, Red Autumn Fall just aren't like the other kids. Instead, their music is swirling guitars and bittersweet vocals. But whether you're an old fan or a curious new one, Friday, July 2nd is a good time to go see 'em, when they'll be celebrating the release of a seven-song independent cassette entitled Fabulous Yellow Roman Candles, named after a quote from Jack Kerouac's On The Road. Produced by Tim Leacock and Doug Goddard, their first recording will help finance a Western Canadian tour in August. As well, Red Autumn Fall have completed a thirty-minute video documentary, including live footage of the Rock Against Racism Show, studio clips and more. Directed by Dave McLeod, it will be shown in the near future on Channel 10. Congratulations to Red Autumn Fall for their upcoming multi-media blitz!
