Here's another single from the Kids - the A side sounds suspiciously like the Cars, which isn't a terrible thing. From the now-offline Heart Music Publishing Group website: This single took a bit more work than the first, but it did to create quite a buzz. By the time of this second release, a script was being worked on in an effort to pitch a TV show of The Kids, based on a generations-old formula similar to that of The Monkees. Many things started happening at that time - the Kids soon started headlining - not just warming up to the major acts of the day. A release in Japan caused quite a stir in airplay there for their material (The Kids showing up in Japanese teen mags). And the label got a new distribution network lined up - most of it aligned by cutting out a lot of middlemen and dealing direct with the likes of Handleman, A&A Records, and other high-profile record chains.
