There's this kind of funny thing with record collectors wanting to throw labels like "psych" and "funk/soul" at anything that even vaguely smells like either, all in an attempt to drive up record prices. So, here we have a single from Abraham on Westmount Records. Someone on discogs has labelled it as both psych and funk/soul. The A side is soft rock/pop (and a bit dirge-y, if anything). The B side is more upbeat, but it's neither funk nor soul. It would fit in okay with rock bands of the period like Painter - though with more boogie-woogie piano.
