The Polyjesters inhabit a space somewhere between klemer, bluegrass and jazz... which is a pretty big space. But they fill it ably, and without taking themselves too seriously. This was their first CD (aka The Orange Album), and it's a great showcase for their musical chops and their sense of fun. There are no notes on the minimal cardboard sleeve this comes in, but the spontaneity and tight playing sounds very much like these were recorded live off the floor.
