We've always had a soft spot for the super scrappy 90's punk of Rosco Pecoe. We're going to turn things over to Jane McCullough and her review from the December 1995 issue of VOX: Finishing as we started, on a local note, we have the Calgary masters of punk: Rosco Pecoe. The first thing that will catch your eye about Uh, What Do You Mean? is the cover art. Bright colours, and a cool drawing on a purple Shreddies background. Supercool like nothing else. These guys even included the lyrics sheet with this Sloth records release, which is a great thing because the next thing that will get your attention is the lyrics. Great writing on this record. As far as the music is concerned, there have been no major style changes; for those not familiar, this means full-on punk rock. "Sleep" is my pick on this four track jobbie, just because of the tight quality of the song. As if that weren't enough, there is a bonus track: "Newton's Theme" from the kitschy cartoon Hercules. Come on you remember Newton ... the most annoying cartoon character ever. Needless to say, I prefer and utterly enjoyed Rasco Pecoe's version much more.
