Do you like Christmas? Do your friends call you weird? Do you like to lean into both the weirdness and the love of Christmas at the same time? Well, this tape is for you. Lovingly curated by Ashley Pridham, this compilation includes a few of our long-time favourites (notably Kayla McNeill as Mossy Dole and Arielle McCuaig as Standard Piano) doing a fun and unapologetically weird selection of seasonal tunes. Our favourites include the tongue-in-cheek DJ Kris Sheppard's 90's rave (one that includes snippets of Jingle Bells) and the bah-humbugedness of Bails Bells' "God Damn Xmas." And the closing metal riffage of Don from CGSW's take on "Auld Lang Syne" is a pretty great closure to a pretty great seasonal compilation. Limited physical copies were available at Neon Taste; digital downloads of Winter Songs are available on bandcamp.
