Where Roxanne Goldade's first album seemed (and was) a collection of prior singles, this one feels more like a proper LP. Her voice is fuller than even the later tracks on that first full-length and the production is more even - this is a pop record, though it does lapse back into country. The great sound might be at least in part to Mark Holden's hand in the recording and engineering. Our only complaint is that Goldade's voice seems like it's buried a bit in the mix in places.
